Lesson 37
Psalms 101
& 103
PSALM 101
- This psalm is believed to have
been written during the early part of David's reign specifically
during the period of time covered by 2 Samuel 1-6. In light of
2 Samuel 6:9, what might David have been speaking of in Psalm
101:2?
- David promised to surround himself with what kind of people? (101:6)
- On verse 8, compare Jeremiah 21:12.
PSALM 103
- What does the word
"Bless" mean in Psalm 103:1-2 and the following
passages: Gen 24:48, 1 Chronicles 29:10, 20? (The noun
cognate is "knee," see Isaiah 45:23.)
- The same word is translated by
what English word(s) in 1 Kings 21:10-13, and Job 1:5, 11, 2:5, 9?
(Use a concordance such as Strong's or Young's.)
- The Lord had not done what? (103:10)
- Instead, he had done what? (25:7)
- Find a parallel thought to verses 15-16 in Psalm 90.
