[Preface] [Introduction] [Index]
Lesson 39
Psalm 138
- Psalm 95:3, 96:4-5, and 115:3-8 might suggest
what interpretation of the statement, "I will sing praises to thee before the
gods"?
- On the other hand, Psalm 82:1, 6, Exodus
21:6, and Deuteronomy 1:16-17 might suggest what interpretation of the same
phrase?
- Does the statement, "I
will bow down toward thy hold temple", necessarily repudiate Davidic authorship of this psalm. (cf. Psalm 5:7, 65:4, I
Chronicles 21:1-6, 28:6-19)
- Explain the phrase, "Thou hast magnified thy word according to all thy name". (KJV
has: "thou has magnified thy word above all thy name")
- Are verses 4 and 5 to be understood as
messianic?
- The Lord regards, or has respect for the
lowly, but what is said of the haughty, or proud?
- Why is it the Lord's right hand that will
save?
- What is it that the Lord will not forsake,
but will accomplish, or perfect?
