*Jn. 19:14 - The feast of unleavened bread is here referred to as the Passover. In all of the other passages where the word "Preparation" is used (Mt. 27:62, Mk. 15:42, Lk. 23:54, and even Jn. 19:31 and 19:42), it is used with reference to the day before the Sabbath. So also in Jn. 19:14, the Preparation was not the day on which they prepared for the actual Passover feast, that being already past, but the day of preparation for the Sabbath which happened to fall within the passover week, or feast of unleavened bread week. Luke 22:1 states that "the feast of unleavened bread...is called the Passover."
